ZOE SATHERLEY explores the amazing results of a medical intuitive who claims to heal through having conversations with the human body… and she's coming to Byron Bay soon.
IF WE can talk to plants and make them stronger…if we can talk to our animals and train them with love…then why can't we talk to our body parts?.
Diagnostic medical intuitive Robyn Elizabeth Welch says we can, and indeed should, be chatting with our lungs and liver, our breasts, brain and bowel, to facilitate their healing and to restore diseased and damaged organs to full health.
Robyn claims to be able to see inside the human body and diagnose from its energy field. Restoring both to well being.
Her technique, which she calls dimensional healing - involves actually communicating with individual body parts to understand their response and, through these exceptional conversations, encouraging the body to participate in its own healing process.
Some people - like Lismore client Elizabeth who works in the health care industry (see separate story) - have hailed her as a miracle worker.
To others any kind of energetic healing is considered quackery.
Australian born Robyn is currently living in the UK but will be visiting the Northern Rivers later this year to run workshops at the Lord Byron Resort on November 22nd and 29th.
She says that it is not uncommon for people to undergo spontaneous healing during her workshops.
While here, she also hopes to find a suitable property to establish a training and healing academy so that others can learn her techniques as she would like to spend half the year here and half the year at her UK base.
"People think you need to be born with a healing gift but I am convinced that individuals with the right empathy can be taught this energy work technique," she says.
"I already teach this work in the UK and one of my students is an Australian GP, I believe this is the way all healing will be done in the future."
Robyn acknowledge that until science can develop tools to accurately measure the human energy field and the impact healers may or may not have, the jury will remain out on the efficacy of energetic healing.
But she finds it interesting that her last Sydney workshop five general practitioners attended - and they all went to see her for private healing sessions.
One of the doctors was so impressed, says Robyn, that she has already enrolled in her training academy to learn the method.
Energetic healing is not a new concept. Many types of both new age and ancient healing arts utilise the body's etheric or energetic patterns to diagnose and treat health problems.
Acupuncture is based on the rivers of energy- or meridians the ancient Chinese charted throughout the human body. These, surface at predictable points called acupuncture points which can become blocked or congested, leading to ill health.
Reiki is another technique, which harnesses a free universal energy, which a healer channels into the human body to help it balance, energise and heal.
Chiron healing works on the body's etheric pattern, and invisible diamond shaped grid that hovers around the body, encasing it in an energetic shield. When the shield is weak or broken, illness pr trauma is present. The Chiron healer repairs the shield without ever laying hands on the body.
Homeopathy works on energetic principles, with the vibratory essence of a particular remedy, be it plant or mineral, being able to influence the human body to balance and heal itself.
Ancient and modern religious traditions, too, commonly speak of the miracle of the laying on of hands, where through the energy of love, compassion and intent, a person may be healed in inexplicable and seemingly miraculous ways.
While science may well be sceptical of these many healing modalities, thousands of people swear by them and use them regularly in preference to conventional therapies.
This is especially so in the Northern Rivers region of Australia the home of alternative medicine and new age therapies, ideas and practices.
Robyn Welch's first book, Conversations With The Body, the True Sixth Sense Story of a Medical Intuitive (Hodder and Stoughton) is in high demand in new age bookshops throughout the region.
But the proof of the pudding is in the eating as the old saying goes, and Robyn Welch claims to have hundreds of satisfied clients who firmly believe her extraordinary abilities have saved them from serious and potentially fatal health problems.
One such person is a Lismore woman, Elizabeth, who has asked that we not use her surname or photograph as she feels her conventional medicine colleagues will hold her up to ridicule.
Elizabeth's story
Elizabeth was suffering from diagnosed Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, shingles and acute hives.
Her immune system was severely stressed and she kept catching every flu virus around.
She could hardly get out of bed, she says, yet alone get through the day. Complete and utter exhaustion plagued her every move.
Nine months out of work had seen her savings dwindle to zero and she had returned to work in the health care industry because she simply had to pay the bills.
"At the end of the first day I got home and just broke down and wept. I cried almost every day. I could not see how I was going to survive," she says.
"Chronic fatigue is just not strong enough to explain how sick I was. I was suffering from complete exhaustion. It was clear that I was not going to be able to work and I could see that I was going to lose my job".
"I had been receiving support from many other healers - both medical and alternative - but although there were often small improvements, my condition did not really change".
After reading Robyn Welch's book, Elizabeth made contact with her and the healing sessions began.
"I was flabbergasted right from the outset," she says.
"This woman was on the other end of the phone, thousands of kilometres away. She had never met me, had not asked a single question about my medical problems, and yet she was telling me things about my body no one could have possibly known." "She said I had a little piece of chipped bone beside my kneecap that was giving me terrible pain, which I did, she knew I had serious problems with my liver and spleen, she could see my spinal curvature and an old spinal injury that caused pain and limited my neck movement, she picked up my faulty heart valve and the incomplete mending of broken bones in my face and she told me I had chronic fatigue syndrome, the onset of which was linked to a whiplash injury in a car accident.
It was all accurate. I was blown away, I really felt I could trust her intuitive powers after that and gave my full intent to have her support my own body's healing process.
Right after the first treatment I felt more energised and alive that I had in years. I was literally jumping out of my skin.
After each of the ten sessions I have had I have felt better and better. The bone chip in my knee has just vanished, my spine is no longer curved, I can actually turn my head to the right and to the left, which I haven't been able to do in years.
"My heart valve is not completely repaired but I can now do simple things like walk upstairs without having to stop to catch my breath each few steps and I don't get breathless so easily anymore. My chronic fatigue has disappeared. I am back at work full-time, studying part-time at university and I have even had time for a relationship.
My last session with Robyn was six months ago and I have stayed well ever since.
She has worked a miracle on me and really saved my life. Before seeing her I was chronically depressed and on anti-depressant medication.
Now I am feeling completely well and happy.
I feel confident the work she has done will be lasting. I have learnt to communicate with my body and read its signals better. I am more in tune with what makes me healthy, and what makes me feel unwell.
