Healer Robyn Welch says she can detect – and cure – any condition without being in the same room as the patient. We tested her by asking her to treat three readers over the phone.
Robyn Welch is a diagnostic medical intuitive, which according to her, means she can see inside people’s bodies. After psychically scanning a person, she uses her sixth sense to ‘operate without knives’ by, for example, talking to an unhappy spleen or coaxing a sluggish kidney into action. She directs her energy like a laser to the damaged body part.
Robyn began healing as a child, by mending the wings of birds. She became a horse trainer and businesswoman, married and had three children. ‘ My psychic awareness developed gradually,’she recalls, ‘but if I suffered physical or emotional pain my abilities grew stronger.’
In 1979, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. ‘The night I was diagnosed my mind whirred: "What if I die? What if I don’t see my children grow up?" Suddenly, a powerful force brushed away negativity, and my thoughts became positive. I knew I had to bring white light into my third eye region (the middle of the forehead), then direct it as a ray towards the tumour to zap it. ‘ Four days later, her surgeon told her the tumour had gone. Today, Robyn travels the world healing others. She claims to have cured people with cancer, epilepsy and heart disease.

THE CHALLENGE
We tested Robyn’s skills by putting her in touch with three women with different ailments. As she doesn’t need to be in physical contact with patients, she conducted healing sessions on the phone. The women were instructed to say nothing about their physical conditions, Robyn did the talking and writer Emma Hibbs taped the conversations. The volunteers had to lay down at home and allow Robyn to talk her way around their bodies for 50 minutes. Here’s what happened.
CLAIRE HUNTING, 33, lives in Surrey with her husband Pete, and their two sons, William, seven and Joe, four. She teaches infant massage part-time.
Robyn says during the diagnosis "I can see bacteria in your blood, which may be making you feel unwell".
Claire says afterwards " That sounds right. A blood test has revealed that I have an increased chance of developing arthritis".
Robyn "Your cervical vertebrae, C2 and C3, at the top of your neck, have been squashed together. You had a fall and you knocked the top of your head".
Claire "This is uncannily true. Six years ago, I was working as a nanny when I fell down some stairs while carrying a highchair, I banged the back of my head I’ve had problems with these vertebrae ever since."
Robyn "Your left hip is a bit weak and, sometimes, it feels as though it can’t support you".
Claire "This is true, I don’t know if it’s something to do with muscle fatigue or my joints, but sometimes it feels like I can’t walk on it".
Robyn "I sense that a few weeks ago you had a number of needles inserted in your system".
Claire "Yes I went along to a pain management clinic where they put 10 needles in my neck to loosen up the joints."
Robyn "You use the right side of your body far more than the left, so it get tired, and you use the left to compensate".
Claire "Maybe this is true. When I go to my Pilates class, the teacher notices that I struggle with the right side of my body".
Robyn "you have an infection in your mouth, which is caused by a chip of bone in your gum".
Claire "I had my wisdom teeth taken out recently and the gum does keep getting infected. I’ve taken two lots of antibiotics for it. Robyn said she could see a piece of bone they’d left behind and that she’s used her mental powers to turn it around so that it will work its way to the surface more quickly. I don’t know whether there was a piece of bone there, but the infection has finally cleared up anyway".
Claire’s Conclusion.
I’ve always been interested in alternative therapy but I just couldn’t get my mind round how Robyn might heal someone over the phone. The spooky thing is that just before I saw Robyn I’d gone to my GP with swollen joints and she booked me in for blood tests. I then had some healing from Robyn and went for the blood tests. When the results came back my doctor was flabbergasted that my blood rheumatoid factor had dropped from 100 two years ago to 10 now. She was expecting it to be high again. Whether this was down to Robyn I don’t know but of course I’m delighted about it, I still have a bit of weakness in my left hip, but generally I’ve felt better than usual.
YANA, 29, lives in west Sussex with her son, Harley eight. She is a single mum who is studying to be a travel agent.
Robyn says during the diagnosis "There is a problem with your left hip. It has no cartilage and the bone is very dry".
Yana says afterwards "This was spot on. I’d had pains in my back as a child, Doctors dismissed it as growing pains but it got worse. I was working as a hairdresser and began to find that even drying someone’s hair could put my back out. One morning I was unable to walk properly and X rays revealed I’d been born without hip sockets, so bone was wearing on bone. I’m now on a waiting list for a hip replacement.
Robyn "Some vertebrae in your spine need attention, and your spine is slightly twisted".
Yana "True. Because my right hip is more worn than the left, it is higher, and this has caused my spine to twist".
Robyn "Your tailbone (coccyx) at the base of your spine is damaged and at a slight angle".
Yana "Yes, osteopaths have told me this before. I think it could have happened when someone knocked into me once when I was younger and I fell heavily on my tailbone".
Robyn "Your left knee is weak. And there is floating cartilage".
Yana "True I’ve had keyhole surgery on this knee because arthritis made it weak and surgeons thought there might be a problem with floating cartilage".
Robyn "Several vertebrae in your neck are out of alignment, causing acid to flow from your shoulder to your elbow".
Yana "Yes. I had physiotherapy on my shoulder and I am convinced the problem started in my neck".
Yana’s Conclusion
"I was shocked as there’s no way Robyn could have known those details about my health. A few days following the session, I felt less stressed than I had for ages. I think Robyn’s voice has a healing effect, which has made it easier for me to cope with my hectic life and disabilities. But you can’t conjure up missing hip joints, so I’m looking forward to having my hip replacement this year".
MURIELLE TOULLIC, 40, was born in Paris. She met her partner Mike when she moved to London 23 years ago. She works part-time in sales.
Robyn says during the diagnosis "Your right ear has been scarred by you poking something in to it".
Murielle says afterwards "quite probably. I’ve always had itchy ears".
Robyn "You have a neck injury".
Murielle "Possibly. I’ve had pains in my neck recently".
Robyn "I’ve stopped at you liver, which isn’t in good condition".
Murielle "I’ve felt sluggish lately, so I’m not surprised by this".
Robyn "There is colon pressure on your left side causing a malfunction of your bowel".
Murielle "I’ve suffered from acute Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Chinese medicine has eased the symptoms but it still flares up".
Robyn "There is a sugar imbalance in your blood".
Murielle "I have not been diagnosed, but diabetes runs in the family".
Robyn "I think you have worms".
Murielle "I’ve had the symptoms of worms recently – lethargy, nausea and headaches – and I’ve been in close contact with a friend’s dog".
Murielle’s Conclusion.
"I don’t know if it was in her voice, but when Robyn spoke I felt a deep relaxation as though she was in the room. After speaking to her I felt very tired, which she says is part of the ‘detox’ process. Now, a few weeks later, I feel fantastic – my tiredness has gone and I haven’t had any IBS symptoms. I did take worm tablets, and I felt much better afterwards".
